Our Environmental Focus
The four areas with the biggest environmental impact, and the greatest opportunity for continued improvement and focus are:

  • Solid waste in manufacturing plants
  • Energy use in manufacturing plants
  • Fuel use by our truck fleet
  • Fresh water usage

AND OF COURSE WE RECYCLE! 

And of Course we Recycle!
Throughout all of our plants, Reser’s recycles a wide range of solid waste from potato peels to tin cans. We have repurposed more than 72 million pounds of potato and vegetable peels through local farmers. Nearly nine million pounds of corrugated and metal ingredient packaging is sent to recyclers. We see opportunities to reduce solid waste inputs while increasing recycling rates in the future.
